writeEmailLink — Hide Your Email Address
The latest generation of web browsers use the title property within anchor and image tags to describe the item. This updated version of emailFix applies this property by using a JavaScript function to write your whole anchor tag.
Move your cursor over the email icon. If you are using the latest version of your web browser, after a moment you should see a small popup description. You should also see the email address in the status bar. If you click on the icon, your email client will open with the address. BUT, nowhere in the document source will you find an address in the standard email format. (Actually there is an example email address in the comments within the source of this page.) The email address is effectively hidden from spam robots.
If you do not want to use an icon with your email address, just use an ordinary link, like . (Just don't include your address as the link!)
If you must display your email address on your web page, visit my Email Link Encoder as an alternative to using JavaScript.
